    1. Why should the chimney be protected against corrosion

    In recent years, the chimneys of various units have been equipped with environmental protection equipment for treatment. The flue gas of the boiler adopts wet desulfurization. The flue gas temperature is 40 ℃ - 60 ℃ (long-term continuous operation), and meets the long-term operation condition of non desulfurization condition (dry flue gas). The corrosivity of flue gas is considered as 50 ℃ strong corrosive wet flue gas. The anti-corrosion materials used are fully suitable for the alternate operation conditions of desulfurization (wet flue gas) and non desulfurization conditions (dry flue gas). It has been used for many years, and the temperature difference is large. When using, a large amount of acid water flows out and causes serious icing, which seriously affects the safety of chimney and pedestrian. Chimney is a passage that often experiences high temperature and steam. Therefore, its construction materials have certain requirements. The most basic and important is high temperature and corrosion resistance. In fact, it is not necessary to use anti-corrosion materials for the whole chimney. In this way, the cost is relatively high. Anticorrosive materials can be used on the inner wall of the chimney, which is economical and environmentally friendly. The use of anti-corrosion materials can prolong the service life of the chimney and save manpower and physics. Let's take a look at the anticorrosive materials for the inner wall of the chimney.

    2. Recommended anti-corrosion materials for chimney:

    In recent years, there are more and more anticorrosive materials for chimney inner wall, such as fiberglass epoxy adhesive cloth (mainly three cloth and five oil), ethylene glass flake anti-corrosion and OM coating anti-corrosion. These three kinds of anti-corrosion materials have high cost performance and low price, and the service life is about 5 years.

    The materials used in large chimney are acid resistant mortar, elastic mortar, vitrified ceramic brick, titanium steel composite plate chimney and FRP chimney lining. The project cost of these materials is high and the service life is more than 10 years.

    3. Internal construction process of chimney: FRP anti-corrosion (five oil and three cloth anti-corrosion)

      High pressure water gun cleaning of the inner wall of chimney → cleaning of the base surface, removing the detached and hollowed concrete, thoroughly removing the aging layer and old anti-corrosion coating at the damaged part → leveling the base surface with acid resistant quick drying cement mortar → primer with polymer mortar on the surface → coating the first resin primer with uniform and no missing coating → drying for 6-10 hours until it does not stick to the hands → applying resin and lining glass cloth (air driving and compaction) → drying Drying for 10 hours → surface treatment, painting evenly without leakage → applying resin again according to the above process, sticking glass cloth to the required number of layers → drying at room temperature for more than 12 hours → surface treatment, brushing the surface layer resin once (drying for 12 ~ 24 hours each time → curing at room temperature for more than 24 hours).

    The overall completion of the "five oil and three cloth" process requirements should be close to the protective surface, flat, no jump or wrinkle, smooth surface, no leakage net, no leakage hole. Before the construction of each process, the quality must be checked to eliminate the defects to reach the process maintenance time, and the next process construction can be allowed after passing the acceptance

    4.1.1 anti corrosion materials (resin, glass fiber cloth)

    Corrosion resistance: it can resist acid condensation corrosion of wet flue gas after long-term operation in wet flue gas environment after flue gas desulfurization (flue gas temperature is about 40 ℃ - 60 ℃).

    ● impermeability: it has good impermeability to acid flue gas condensation liquid containing CL-1 and F-1.

    Wear resistance: it has good wear resistance and erosion resistance in the environment with dust and flue gas.

    Heat shock resistance: no cracking, peeling, blistering or spalling at 40 ℃ - 60 ℃ of flue gas temperature.

    Adhesion: there is good adhesion between the base of the inner wall of the chimney.

    Repairability: after partial damage of anticorrosive coating, it can be repaired in a short period of time, and the performance of repair area cannot be significantly reduced.

    Low thermal expansion coefficient: when the temperature of flue gas changes suddenly due to desulfurization absorption tower and air preheating failure, all lining anti-corrosion materials shall not be affected by thermal expansion damage.

    Anti flue gas erosion: in the high velocity area of flue gas, there should be anti-corrosion coating to prevent the abrasion of anti-corrosion materials.

    4.1.2 conduct a comprehensive inspection on the inside of the chimney. The cleaning and treatment of the surface must be carried out strictly and seriously to ensure that it is firmly bonded with the anti-corrosion materials. According to the height and direction of the leakage point on the outer wall of the chimney, the inner wall and outer wall of the chimney are sealed tightly. It is forbidden to damage all parts of chimney caused by slag and block falling in the process. The supplier shall be fully responsible for the loss. Before dismantling, the supplier must entrust the professional manufacturer of the continuous on-line monitoring system to remove and protect the online monitoring system. The chimney shall be re installed after the anti-corrosion of the chimney. The supplier shall be fully responsible for the expenses incurred and the loss caused by the damage of the online monitoring system.

    4.1.3 anti corrosion construction essentials of chimney base treatment:

    ① After the matrix treatment, the substrate should be flat and dense, and the lining surface should be free of oil, slurry, cement powder, porosity, honeycomb, pitted surface and other surface defects. Remove the detached and hollowed concrete, and thoroughly remove the aging layer and old anti-corrosion coating at the damaged part.

    ② Only when the surface moisture content is not higher than 6% can the construction be carried out.

    ③ The suitable construction temperature is 5-35 ℃.

    ④ Large defects such as holes and spalling are not allowed on the surface of the substrate. If the substrate surface does not meet the above requirements, it must be repaired.

    4.1.4 the polymer mortar construction shall be carried out in strict accordance with the manufacturer's ratio and construction method, and the internal and external corners of the lining surface shall be rounded. If the humidity in the chimney can not meet the repair requirements before repair, the drying time of the inner wall can be shortened by purging with compressed air to ensure the repair quality. If necessary, use fan to heat and dry. The internal and external corners of the lining surface shall be scraped into arc transition shape with a trowel, and the surface shall be evenly plastered with a trowel. After repairing, the lining surface is smooth and beautiful, without sagging, cracking and uneven concave convex phenomenon. After mechanical grinding of protruding brick, it is required that the internal corner arc transition R > 10 mm and the external corner arc transition R > 5 mm.

    4.1.5 the containers and tools for preparing primer and resin shall be clean and dry. The preparation of anti-corrosion materials shall be prepared at the same time according to the construction amount, and shall be used up within 3 hours, in strict accordance with the construction process. It is forbidden to continue to use it in case of condensation and caking during construction.

    4.1.6 before resin primer coating, first check whether there are sundries and floating dust on the working face. If the floating dust affects the adhesion of primer, the floating dust and sundries must be removed first. After the completion of each shift of painting, comprehensive inspection and acceptance shall be carried out. If problems are found, timely consultation shall be conducted, and repair and improvement measures shall be formulated. Only when the design requirements are fully met can the next shift be handed over, and the handover procedures shall be completed. The coating film shall be dried by natural drying. If necessary, the fan shall be turned on for ventilation and drying. The interval time of each coating shall be determined according to the coating performance and weather temperature, and the construction shall be carried out in accordance with the specifications. Pay attention to the environmental protection during the drying process of the paint film. When the paint film does not reach a certain drying hardness, it is not allowed to carry out high-pressure water washing, surface cleaning, blowing cleaning and touching in the affected area.

    4.1.7 before the construction of anti-corrosion materials, the surface of the base course shall be smooth, dry, clean, free of floating dust and oil stain.

    4.1.8 after each process is completed, the next process shall be carried out after passing the acceptance. The buyer's participation in process acceptance can not reduce the supplier's quality responsibility for anti-corrosion engineering.

    Note: the anti-corrosion materials of corbel, ash accumulation platform, flue interface (within 1.5m) and outlet high velocity area (within 2m from the top of chimney) must be strengthened to strengthen anti-corrosion and wear resistance to resist the erosion of flue gas. Leakage proof and anti-seepage measures must be taken at typical parts such as corbel, ash deposition platform and flue interface to ensure no wet flue gas leakage.
