    Appraisal and analysis of cooling tower

    It can be seen from the on-site inspection that the concrete pillars, inclined columns, ring beams and tower walls are damaged to varying degrees, among which the ring beam and tower wall concrete are most seriously damaged.

    A small number of concrete column concrete fell off along the direction of stirrup. Although some of the column surface concrete did not fall off, there were slight expansion marks on the column surface, which indicated that the reinforcement inside the column had been corroded. With the volume expansion of steel corrosion, it was only a matter of time before the protective layer fell off. From the photos of ring beam and tower wall, it can be seen that the protective layer at the bottom of ring beam and tower wall has fallen off in large area, and the reinforcement is seriously corroded.

    Due to the corrosion of reinforcement and the falling off of protective layer, the effective cross-sectional area of beams, columns and tower walls becomes smaller, resulting in the decline of the overall bearing capacity of the structure, which directly affects the mechanical performance of the structure. The stirrup is located on the outside of the main reinforcement. After the reinforcement corrosion, it not only affects the bearing capacity of the inclined section of the structure, but also reduces the binding force on the concrete, and indirectly affects the bending capacity of the structure. On the other hand, steel corrosion also reduces the bond strength between reinforcement and concrete.

    According to the above inspection results, it can be determined that the damage of the components has seriously affected the bearing capacity of the main structure, and the bearing capacity of the main structure of the building has not met the requirements of the current code

    Construction procedure of cooling tower

    1. Surface treatment of cooling tower and herringbone column: wash with water, remove warping and loose concrete.

    2. Remove rust from exposed reinforcement and brush it with antirust paint.

    3. Repair the surface of cooling tower and herringbone column with polymer mortar.

    4. After repair, use chlorosulfonated anti-corrosion paint to brush twice for anti-corrosion.

    Construction method of cooling tower

    1. Basic requirements and treatment:

    The surface of base course shall be flat, rough, clean, free of oil stain, floating ash, sand, hollowing and cracks. However, high pressure water shall not be used before construction.

    When the requirement of interfacial adhesion is very high, the reinforced interface treatment agent can be applied in advance

    Safety measures

    1. They must be trained by the medical department and have the physical examination.

    2. Safety helmets must be worn when entering the construction site, and safety belts must be worn by climbing workers.

    3. It is strictly forbidden to work at heights after drinking or with diseases.

    4. Lifting equipment shall be in charge of by special personnel, and non lifting personnel are strictly prohibited to operate.

    5. No fireworks are allowed on the construction site. Inflammable and explosive materials should be stacked in a centralized manner. Fire fighting equipment should be equipped and special personnel should be assigned to take care of them.

    6. Safety warning lines shall be set up in the construction area, and warning signs shall be hung at the entrance and exit. The distance from the warning line to the chimney shall not be less than 1 / 10 of its height and not less than 10 m.

    7. In case of thunderstorm and strong wind, the climbing operation shall be suspended and the construction shall be carried out after the wind and rain.

    8. The safety supervisor shall supervise the construction on site, and timely stop and correct the violation found during the construction.

    9. Establish a safety management system with the project leader as the first responsible person.

    10. Safety Objective: no one injured accident and major mechanical damage accident.
